Fast Weight Loss Tips - How to Lose Inches Off Your Waist - Part 1

Most of us have some stomach fat we would like to see evaporate -- today. But, unfortunately, that is not going to happen. It took a little time to accumulate the flab, and it will take a little time to eliminate it.

Are you ready for the challenge?

A couple of fundamentals to keep in mind. First, you are going to have to exercise those stomach muscles to burn off some of the fat. Secondly, you are going to have to curb your sugar intake. It's those sugars that turn into fat. Even fruit juices have quite a bit of natural sugar. That is why all the experts recommend that you drink plenty of water. There is no sugar in water - unless you make it koolaid!

But even if you don't cut down on those sugars, I guess you can still lose an inch or so from your waist with a little bit of exercise.

You need to exercise the muscles of the stomach and around the stomach to work off some of the unwanted fat. The problem is that most of us spend a good part of the day in the sitting position and those sugars that turn into fat just accumulate and settle in the waist area.

You are probably familiar with situps and crunches that exercise many of the stomach muscles. Any kind of exercise like this should help a little bit. But don't just settle for a few pushups or crunches, expand your routine.

Sit in a swivel chair and swivel back and forth for five minutes or so each day. You'll be working your stomach muscles. Get into a stationary pushup position and hold in those stomach muscles tight. This will further work some of the flabby muscles. For the standing pushups, a good start would be about three sets of ten seconds each, then work up from there.
